ALTERNATE VERSIONS
In the Identity Wars, Deadpool leapt to another dimension where his alternate counterpart was a crime boss in the style of Doctor Doom. One of this Death Mask’s many Deadpool-themed lieutenants was Bob. However, he was easily killed by Deadpool with a metal I-Beam as Wade worked his way up the crime ladder.
In the edgy MAX universe, Bob was a competent CIA operative that was Deadpool’s handler. Deadpool had delusions that he was trying to take out the twelve-headed, evil Hydra organization, so Bob played into his fantasy by claiming to have previously worked for the organization. Using these delusions to his advantage, Bob was able to point Deadpool at targets the CIA chose, pretending that they were targeting heads of the Hydra organization. The first instance of this was when Bob allowed himself to become the boy toy for Hammerhead’s chief of security and was nearly killed if Deadpool hadn’t arrived in just the nick of time to save him and kill Hammerhead.
After more missions in which Bob endured many hardships, Bob became convinced that he would rather be dead than continue to be blackmailed by Blind Al of the CIA to continue this role or be sent to prison for his past crimes. Deadpool faked Bob’s death on Christmas Eve and showed him what his loved ones would think of his death. Blind Al only lamented that she couldn’t continue using him in her schemes, Bob’s ex-girlfriend, Colleen Liu, mourned him briefly before having sex with Cable and his parents were ecstatic that their sons passing had them reaping his government death benefits. However, Deadpool convinced Bob that he at least needed him and they enter into a more equal partnership.
Deadpool and Bob discovered that Cable and Colleen Liu were responsible for framing Bob of his past crimes. Rather than sell out his former girlfriend, though, Bob and Deadpool stormed the CIA, but were stopped by Cable and his accomplice Inez. However, Deadpool triggered a bomb as he left in the facility, killing Blind Al and Inez, giving the pair a new lease on life.
NOT BOB!
Bill, Agent of AIM, was once mistaken for Bob by Deadpool in the Savage Land. Wade forced the assistance of Bill in his take down of a zombified army from another dimension.
Bill even managed to kill a Zombie version of Tigra.
On Battleworld, there was lowly agent of Hydra named Hank Johnson who was a schlubby, middle-aged family man. His wife had no sympathy for him after he got knocked out by Nick Fury or that his friend Gerry was killed, instead suggesting that maybe there was an opening for him at work now. Another Hydra agent mentioned that Agent Bob had been moved over to F.O.X.X. and invited him to go to the Nets game, for which Hank had to decline. Hank did get promoted and his new duties apparently involved being sexually harassed by Madame Hydra, who liked to call him Hanky-Panky.
Throughout all of the Hydra schemes and mundane family life, Hank’s main concern appeared to be if he could get out of his responsibilities long enough to get to the Nets game after all.
