Back where we Belong

Uncanny X-Men.Net Reloaded Well, as you probably know, the UXM.Net eventually purchased and moved to our very own server so that we never again will have to let ourselves be bossed around. Make no mistake, we thank Ascension Web for everything they did for us. Without their free hosting, we would have never made it this far. Back then, nobody could have known how successful the site would become, but the many ads they ran on our site must have generated enough money to pay the Ascension Web back for their services.

Finally on our own, we of course returned to our favorite look and, to celebrate the redesign and to make up for the previous months with no logo change, we had three new images appear all within one month. The Reload line-ups of the three different X-Men teams were perfect for this move and, as we couldn’t know about any regular supporting cast members at the times the logos were created, we instead gave a nod to the creative teams in the add-on images.

New Class starting now One of the most refreshing books at this time was the second New Mutants series, dubbed New X-Men: Academy X (though the subtitle was soon dropped) after the Reload. Though circumstances forced them to change plans time and again, Nunzio DeFilippis and Christina Weir did an awesome job with these new kids – and established rather diverse personalities for them. Reason enough to feature them in a special logo, right on time for the class to receive official codenames and costumes.

Four years of UXM.Net – the “Ultimate” X-website ? Four weeks had passed, which meant time for another logo to debut, especially as it was the site’s fourth birthday. Ultimate X-Men having reached 50 issues seemed a good reason to use that title’s cast members.
